The Portuguese government has decided that the outcome of the 2019-20 Champions League will not be made public. The blame lies with the high number of infections in Lisbon.

There is just over a month left before the return of the Champions League in Lisbon and there is a news item of scope that has taken place this very Monday, June 29.

The Portuguese government has taken the decision to prevent the entrance of the public to the stadiums due to an increase in the number of infected people.

The pandemic is seriously affecting all countries, as is the case in Portugal. And in one city in particular, Lisbon.

In fact, the authorities had to decree confinement in 19 districts of the metropolitan area.

Let's remember that between August 12 and 23, the final will take place eight days before the Champions League.

"Regarding the question of the public and depending on what the current situation of the pandemic is, obviously it will not be possible," Antonio Lacerda Sales, Secretary of State for Health, told the press.
