A new week of pre-season training has begun for Real Madrid. This Monday, Carlo Ancelotti decided to give the day off to the nine first team players and the youth players who played the friendly against Rangers in Glasgow on Sunday.
The situation is very different for the five internationals who joined the squad last week. As 'Mundo Deportivo' points out, Gareth Bale, David Alaba, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Raphael Varane all worked at the highest intensity to start the week.
The French international centre-back is still continuing his pre-season training at Valdebebas, despite rumours that he is heading straight to Manchester United. In fact, in the last few hours the reports have suggested that his arrival at Old Trafford could be imminent.
As usual, the training session began in the gym and continued on the pitch, where everyone completed several series of physical exercises and worked with the ball. Mariano once again trained on his own.
