On May 28th the Premier League published the provisional date for football's return to England. It was set after an agreement reached between all clubs for June 17.
The official date for the start of the 2020-21 season was still unknown, but 'The Mirror' now claims a date has been chosen.
The source claims that the 20 clubs met again this Thursday and agreed on the official date for the beginning of the next season: the weekend of 12 and 13 September.
Even before the current season resumes, the clubs in England are already working side by side to prepare for the next season, a date that could change depending on the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic.
The 20 teams in the English League gave the green light for the next football season to open on the second weekend in September, which will mean that the players will have the whole month of August to rest.
Although they will only play matches, as it will be a month full of signings and pre-season training, which will leave a summer in which there will be little respite in the Premier League.
