The key which could open the door to Lucas Vázquez starting

Lucas Vázquez became one of the most widely used pieces for Zinedine Zidane in his last spell at Real Madrid. But now, the Galician must be content to take advantage of any cracks in the eleven as well as his own.

Carvajal has been the regular at RWB. And even when Odriozola, now at Bayern waited anxiously on the bench, Carvajal never lost the starting spot. But his absence leaves a gap difficult to fill.

Without Nacho or Odriozola in the equation, Militao is the only one that could pull Vázquez from the spot. He already played there against Betis, although the result wasn't as desired.

That's why it's not being ruled out that the Galician will receive Zidane's trust again in a role he has always made a show of himself. His sacrifice and defensive work could lead him, once again, to be included in Zidane's starting XI.
