The 23 players who will defend the 'La Roja' jersey at the Women's World Cup in France has been announced. Among the surprises on the list is the absence of Angela Sosa and the presence of Patri Guijarro.
The curious thing about the announcement was the way in which the Spanish National Team chose to disseminate it. The team's main influence has been the fans, who were tasked with announcing the names of Jorge Vilda's chosen squad.
The World Cup will start in France on 7th June, but Vilda and his team will gather next Monday 27th May in the Las Rozas football complex.
The 'La Roja' expedition will head to France on 30th May to face Japan in a preparation friendly (2nd June).
