"Some players just eat and sleep on international duty"

The international break left two Tottenham players out as they tested positive for COVID-19. Despite losing two players for the Newcastle game, Nuno complained about how much of a waste of time can be for some players the international breaks. According to the Portuguese manager, some players just travel to sleep and eat.

That's how Nuno explained his complaints: "Some players come back fatigued because they played every minute, others just travel with their national teams to eat and sleep".

Nuno continued expressing his disappointment: "This happens every single time there is an international break. There are players that play a lot of minutes and others that travel and don't. In the end, it creates more problems for us. There are some players that have done something special and come back happy such as Hugo Lloris, but others come back sad such as Reguilon and Bryan Gil", said Nuno.

"We always want them to come back as soon as possible. There are some that haven't come back yet", explained Nuno.
