Last night's 'El Clasico' in Valdebebas might prove a point of no return for Ronald Koeman and for Barca. The Dutch coach openly criticised the referees in Saturday night's 2-1 defeat, whilst Joan Laporta opted to avoid such contreversial topics and instead showed his support for the team.
The club president left a message of optimism on Twitter following Barca's defeat in 'El Clasico': "I have no doubt that this team will fight until the end".
"We have eight games left to play to try and win the league," Laporta continued on Saturday night after the clash against 'Los Blancos'.
A short while later Ronald Koeman also appeared on the popular social network. Despite the fact that a fair few hours had already passed since the final whistle and since his criticisms of the referees, and oblivious to the potential fines from such complaints, the Barca manager continued to criticise and he reiterated that his side deserved a bit more luck in 'El Clasico'.
"We had the upper hand during the game and had the opportunities for a better result. Unlucky in the end with a wrong decision by the referee and VAR."

Despite initial doubts, Koeman's successful spell at the helm of Barca had earned him the trust of Joan Laporta, which the new president had publicly declared. But all could change come the end of the season.
