Mohamed Lamine Sissoko, former Valencia, Liverpool, Juventus, PSG and Levante striker, among others, announced this Tuesday in an interview with 'RMC Sport', that he is retiring from professional football at the age of 34.

A lot of people try it, but not many people achieve it. Mohamed Lamine Sissoko, more commonly known as 'Momo' Sissoko, tried it and got it and now he is saying goodbye to professional football after playing for many teams.

The Mali midfielder this Tuesday announced that he was hanging up his boots, in an interview with 'RMC Sport'. He does so at the age of 34 and after 17 years as a professional. That's how long it's been since the African landed in Valencia in 2003.

He stayed in the capital of Turia for two seasons and then made his move to Liverpool. In the middle of the 2007/8 season he moved to Juventus, who took advantage of his skills before he signed for Paris-Saint-Germain.

After a pass through the French capital he moved to Fiorentina and then returned to Spain for a season and a half (2013/14 and the first half of the 2014/15) before signing for Levante.

From there he began his decline with experiences at Shanghai Shenshua, Pune City, West Bromwich Albion, Ternara, Mitra, Atletico San Luis, Kitchee de Hong Kong and Sochaux.

Ligue 2 has been the competition that has seen 'Momo' Sissoko's last days as a professional. Now he is embarking on a new phase far from the demands of top-level football.
