Sergio Rico, sedated but stable in critical condition

The international football community is still holding its breath over the wellbeing of Sergio Rico. The footballer was taken to hospital on Sunday after he suffered an accident on his horse in El Rocio.

On Monday, the Virgen del Rocio hospital sent out a new statement regarding the keeper's state of health. He remains sedated in the ICU, but his state has not gotten worse. However, he is still in critical condition.

His agent released a statement detailing the accident on Sunday night. However, not much is known about the incident.

Sergio Rico travelled after his team's match against Strasbourg, where they won the league title. He had permission from the club and did not break any rules. There were many expressions of support and affection for the goalkeeper after the terrible accident.
