Salah has emerged as the bookmakers frontrunner to take home the award. The Egyptian has been in absolutely impeccable form this season, bagging his 40th goal this season last weekend against Bournemouth.
Fellow nominee De Bruyne admitted that Salah would be receiving his vote. The 26-year-old's technical skill has helped guide Guardiola's side to Premier League glory in their campaign.
De Bruyne's team-mates also feature as Manchester City stars dominate the list. Sane has scored nine goals in the Premier League, and notched 12 assists, whilst Silva has eight goals and 11 assists to his name.
Salah's competition for the Golden Boot, Harry Kane, is also shortlisted having counted his 100th career goal in the league back in February.
Manchester United's goalkeeper David De Gea has earned his spot for an impressive season, and would become the first shotstopper to win the award since Peter Shilton in 1978.
