Juventus' Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo assured on Friday that he is "very convinced" that his side will come back against Lyon. He thinks Juve will be in the Champions League quarter-finals.
"The Lyon thing can happen... it's football. We're not happy about the game. It's always difficult, but we have the 2nd leg. We're confident we can change the result and go through", Ronaldo affirmed in a preview of an interview with the Italian television channel 'Sky Sport'.
Despite everything, Ronaldo assures that the situation isn't worrying the team. "The priority is to win the next matches and the Champions League will come. We're relaxed, focused", he added.
The setback suffered away to Lyon triggered the alarms for a Juventus side that, despite being top of the Serie A, 1 point ahead of Lazio and 3 above Inter, remain unconvincing at the level of play.
From that match, the only one who was saved was Cristiano Ronaldo. The Italian press were very critical of Juve, only the Portuguese was spared the criticism.
"The Champions League is the toughest competition, all the teams are difficult and there are no easy matches anymore. But we play at home, I hope with our fans. I am very convinced that we will go through," he assured.
