Ronaldo doesn't attend 'The Best' ceremony

Alciato tweeted the same evening, offering no reason for Ronaldo's absence. It said, "Ronaldo will not attend the award ceremony in La Scala in Milan".
Juventus play on Tuesday against Brescia, although CR7 is a potential doubt for the fixures, after Sarri explained he had a niggle in his abductor.
His physical condition and the need for rest could be the reason why Ronaldo has chosen not to travel to the award ceremony, where he was one of the three players nominated for 'The Best' award alongside Leo Messi and Virgil van Dijk.
This isn't the first time that Cristiano has skipped 'The Best' award ceremony, as he wasn't able to attend last year either. Allegri revealed that it was because he had a match the next day: "we're sorry we couldn't make it, but the event was a bad fit in our calendar".
However, people began to speculate on social media whether or not CR7 had not travlled to Milan because he knew Van Dijk was the huge favourite for the award and that it was unlikely he would win. Last year, in his other 'scheme', Modric won the coveted award.
