RFEF elections brought forward

Rubiales' request to the new government hasn't fallen on deaf ears. The newspaper 'Marca' assures that the CSD have confirmed that the RFEF elections will be brought forward, in accordance with the regulations.

These early elections seem to favour the reelection of Rubiales who will have in front of him as the main opposition candidate Iker Casillas. The ex-Real Madrid goalkeeper will now have a lot less time to campaign.

According to the aforementioned source, the new CSD president, Irene Lozano, has brought forward the elections to guarantee that it will take place in the Olympic year, again according to the regulations. 

The CSD will also justify these early elections by the fact that other federations have already done so.

The final word on the advance was given by the newly formed TAD, who spoke, as the aforementioned source said, "in too much of a hurry".
