There is a tense wait while Hazard returns from international duty. He does not definitely have a serious injury that will affect him doing pre-season with Real Madird, but he was close to getting injured in the Euros before he finally did. His coach, Roberto Martinez, had to manage him to prevent him getting injured. He was getting problems with almost every training session.
That is why he was not on the pitch for the decisive quarter-final clash with Italy which the Italians won. He did start the last 16 clash with Portugal though. He played that almost until the end as he was subbed off in the 87th minute. Belgium booked their place in the quarter-finals.
He has to return to Madrid and, like the rest of the squad, he will have a medical to make sure he is fit. The ideal news would for him to be 100% fit with no chance of suffering a relapse of his injury.
In fact, when injury problems have respected him, he has been brilliant for the Belgians. That is precisely what Real Madrid expect of him in his third season at the club. He has never been as good as what he was when he left Chelsea and injuries have affected him badly.
