Real Sociedad rather surprisingly announced on Saturday that they would gradually return to training next week. A surprising decision given that Spain is still in lockdown even though the Government gave permission for workers of non-essential workers to go back next week.
As far as Real Madrid are concerned, they are in no rush to train again. According to 'AS', they will only return to training when there is no risk for the players and the rest of the club's workers.
The Madrid metropolitan area is also one of the areas worst hit by the coronavirus in Spain so they do not want to make a mistake and send people back into work when it is not safe.
The media outlet confirmed that Real Madrid want to carry out a 21 day pre-season before returning to action, so there it will be quite a while before we see Zidane's side in action again.
In that sense, the club have got a plan of action on when they can return to training. Firstly, they will ask for permission from the health authorities.
Once they have received the OK, the club will consult the head of the medical services, Zinedine Zidane and the players. The players are desperate to return, but Real Madrid do not want to take any chances.
