After Mbappe's refusal, Real Madrid thought about getting another striker in the market. And they thought about RB Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku.
According to 'AS', several members of the Madrid board recommended Florentino Perez to go after this talented player. They believe he will soon be at the level of star players like Haaland and Mbappe if he continues like up to now.
The problem is that not only Real Madrid are interested. Chelsea, Man Utd and PSG, among others, have knocked on RB Leipzig's door to ask about the Frenchman.
The German club will only let him go this summer if they receive a huge offer. 'AS' believes that only a 150 million euros offer would see RB Leipzig sell their star attacker.
This paper says that RB Leipzig are trying to renew the player, whose contract expires in 2024, for some more seasons. Next summer, they would be willing to negotiate his sale in other terms. The German club think Nkunku with have a great World Cup so they could make use of that and sell him in a year's time.
Chelsea, according to the latest information, are the first club to make RB Leipzig a firm offer. The Blues put 60 million euros on the table, significantly less than the 150 million 'AS' says Leipzig want for them to sell Nkunku.
