Real Madrid travel to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium to face Sevilla in La Liga, hoping to secure three points to move ahead of their city rivals in the table.
However, the game has more meaning for their skipper, Sergio Ramos. In 2004, the defender took his first steps in professional football for Wednesday's opposition, with the help of Joaquin Caparros.
Now he will battle it out against his mentor after Caparros stepped in to replace the sacked Vincenzo Montella till the end of the season.
None of Ramos' previous encounters against his former club have been happy occasions, with whistles and insults a general theme from the supporters who used to stand by him.
Ahead of the match though, Caparros called for calm and also offered high praise to the footballer he helped become the powerhouse he is today.
"Sergio is a world champion here. Sergio is one of our homegrown players and it's a shame he left, but he is a reference for our youth team.
"Those players are brought here, we've had them here, we cleaned their snot and they were taught to play football".
