'The Sun' newspaper reported on Friday that the Spanish giants are keen to bring the 24-year-old to the Bernabeu as part of their summer revamp, although that has been somewhat disputed by journalist Guillem Balague.
Unfortunately for Pogba there is one sticking point. His agent. Florentino Perez is thought to have little time for Mino Raiola and has, in fact, never signed a player he represents. Real Madrid were reportedly in the running for the France international when he let it be known that he wanted out of Juventus, but agents fees as well as wages put them off the deal.
Zidane retains an interest in Pogba but it seems in two years that not much has changed. The fees involved in such a transfer would be stratospheric and Raiola is still whispering in his ear.
Before Pogba signed for Manchester United, Raiola told 'L'Equipe' that: "Madrid buy players the way some people buy bath towels and then throw aside. We are not interested in a club like that."
With Real pursuing other targets including Eden Hazard, it appears that a move for Pogba will fall a long way down the list given this breakdown in relations.
