PSG will let Di Maria leave for free

PSG are not thinking of renewing Argentinian international Angel Di Maria for a season, whose contract expires on 30th June, 'RMC Sport' reported this Wednesday. They say that Frenchman Ousmane Dembele is a possible substitute.
The decision is not confirmed and it must be confirmed by both parties so there could still be a change. Di Maria, 34, renewed in March 2021 for a season until 30th June of this year, with the possibility of extending it for another season.
The arrival of his compatriot Leo Messi at the Parisian club has meant he is no longer a starter up front this season. According to the French press, PSG are preparing a clear out of their squad after the disappointing Champions League exit to Real Madrid last week.
PSG forked out 63 million euros for Di Maria in 2015. He arrived at European football from Club Atletico Rosario Central in 2007 when he signed for Benfica. He was there for three seasons before making the move to Real Madrid where he spent four seasons and won the 2014 Champions League.
Real Madrid then sold him to Man Utd for 75 million euros. However, he had a miserable time there and soon went to the French capital.
