Paris Saint-Germain would not be unhappy if Neymar were to leave their ranks this summer. 'Sky Sports', in an article in which it reviews which professionals at the Parc des Princes are expendable and which are untouchable, mentions that the board is open to a hypothetical departure of Neymar.
This information is powerfully striking because, just last weekend, the '10' claimed that he was going to continue at the Parc des Princes no matter how much his own fans whistled at him. The fans are treating him this way, along with other 'responsibles', for the Champions League elimination against Real Madrid.
Not even by winning the Ligue 1 again have Mauricio Pochettino's side been able to put out the 'fire', which could now push the board to rebuild the squad. And that is where the departure of Neymar would come in, who, although he has had some ups and downs, is still on the list of world stars.
The problem is that, as he is contracted with PSG until 2025, if any suitors come forward, they will have to put on the table the almost 90 million euros that his market value amounts to. The Parisian board have already been very tough in other negotiations. Most notably, Madrid's attempt to sign Kylian Mbappe last summer.
