The Premier League still doesn't know when it will return, but they are already planning on playing with fans. 'Mirror' assures that the English competition wants to have fans from October.
Setting a specific date is a pipe dream nowadays, in a world that is trying to return to normality in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and which has confined the whole planet.
Boris Johnson's government have drawn up a crash plan for the return of football. It details the return to normality in a progressive way.
This all fits into a detailed five-step plan for the whole of Britain. The first, from Monday, will allow unlimited exercise to be allowed. At the end of May, there will be a gradual return to primary schools and family visits will be allowed. The third step involves the return of high schools and the return of the first sports, such as indoor football or tennis, at the end of June.
At the end of August, bars and restaurants with social distancing rules will gradually open again. In October, Premier League matches could be played with fans again.
On Monday, what happens with the 2019-20 season could be decided officially. There will be a meeting with all the teams and they will vote for it to continue or not.
The last match with fans in the Premier League took place on 9th March, with Leicester City's strong win against Aston Villa.
