When asked about current Barcelona Vice-President Rafa Yuste's recent comments on a possible return for Lionel Messi to the Camp Nou, Gerard Pique chose to opt for a careful approach. The club's legendary defender admitted it would be "amazing", but that they mustn't "force things".
"I know Rafa Yuste and I know how he is. He's a really good person and he'll always tell you what you want to hear", the ex-Barca defender said. "Of course, it would be amazing for all Barca fans if Leo went back. But there comes a moment when forcing things ends up being counter-productive. I'd let him choose himself, so it's natural. If it ends up being done, it'll be done. If both sides want it, the move will happen no matter how long it takes".
Just last week, Rafa Yuste came out with the surprise, saying that the club "had contact" with the Argentine star, whose contract at PSG ends this June.
He's still not renewed in Paris, begging the question where he'll be playing his football next season. There have been several rumours of late which have placed him further and further away from the French capital. Only time will tell what the man from Rosario will end up doing come the summer.
