The season has yet to finish and Pau Torres is committed to Villarreal. That will be the case until he leaves.
The central defender is not distacted by any rumours. United have become very interested in him.
When Pau Torres was asked by 'Marca' about rumours of him leaving Villarreal, he said he is handling it well. "I'm calm at home, with my family in my village and at a club which has given me everything since I was young. They treat me as if I were one of their children. I go game by game knowing that I can improve. That I'm being spoken about means that the team are doing well and that I'm doing a good job. I appreciate it, but that's it. I'm calm," he said.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have also been touted as possible destinations, but he refused to talk about it. "I'm focussed on going through in the Europa League semi-finals, being in Europe again next year and also going to the Euros. Those are my objectives right now."
Lastly, he gave his opinion on the Super League. "Those who earn it should be there. I don't know if the Champions League should be improved, whether a Super League should be created so that football works better. In any case, if something gets done, qualification should be based on merit," he concluded.
