'Los Blancos' are certainly building for the future with the acquisition of Vinicius Junior and they can now add Rodrygo to that list.
After months of speculation and negotiations, the 17-year-old will move to the Bernabeu in July 2019 for a reported €40million, despite the youngster turning 18 in January.
The deal works well for Santos as they can keep Rodrygo for another year as they look to push on in the Brazilian Serie A and the Copa Libertadores.
During their statement, Santos praised Real for their attitude and professionalism throughout the negotiation process, as well as the family and representatives of the player who were always transparent.
More details about the transfer will be revealed during a press conference scheduled for 14:00 (GMT-3) on Friday.
