OFFICIAL: Gabriel Jesus signs for Arsenal

Gabriel Jesus is Arsenal's latest signing. Manchester City sold the player to aid their goals for this transfer window and received 45 million pounds, after Pep Guardiola allowed a player who was a key part of City's squad to leave. Now, the Brazilian will start a new chapter in his career, under the tutelage of another Spanish coach, Mikel Arteta.
The attacker signed a contract with the Emirates until 2027. He is gaining in stability and confidence, and the board have placed a lot of confidence in him by paying the fee which they did for him. Barring any surprises, he will be a starter in the squad from the begining.
It will be up to him to keep this spot, although he has more than enough potential to achieve it. His experience in the Premier League goes back to the 2016/17 season, when the Etihad welcomed the man from Palmeiras for a debut season of development in the big leagues until he found his best level.
Manchester City, with their 'unofficial' 45 million pounds, could take care of other matters, such as the signing of Kalvin Phillips, The English press have been speculating that the deal was for the same fee as the sale of Gabriel Jesus. A smart piece of business by the 'cityzens'

On their official website, Arsenal have confirmed that Gabriel Jesus will wear the number '9' shirt and will join up with the rest of the squad for preseason in the days to come.
Arteta himself wanted to welcome the Brazilian and gave an interview to the club's social media: "I'm very excited. The club has done a tremendous job to recruit a player of this stature. I know Gabriel personally very well, and we all know him well from his time in the Premier League and being really successful here. This is a position that's been on our radar for a long time now and we have managed to get a player that we all wanted, so I'm really happy".
