More bad news regarding COVID-19 at Real Madrid. Real Madrid announced a new positive for COVID-19 in their squad, this time the full-back Alvaro Odriozola.
In a brief statement, the Spanish club confirmed that their player had tested positive for coronavirus: "Real Madrid C. F. confirm our player Alvaro Odriozola has tested positive for COVID-19".
Several first team players have tested positive for the virus in recent days. On 23th July, Real Madrid made it official that Karim Benzema was out of the squad for the same reason.
However, the French striker has already rejoined his teammates after overcoming the coronavirus, something that Alvaro Odriozola will now have to do.
In addition to the French striker, David Alaba tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. The players in Carlo Ancelotti's squad are slowly but surely falling out of the squad.
