Odegaard sparks controversy with Hegerberg criticism

The Real Madrid prodigee is not usually one for contoversy, but he has caused a storm in his home country with his latest comments over female Ballon D'or winner Ada Hegerberg's decision to boycott the World Cup.
"Perhaps she could find something better to do than disrupt the national team's preparations for the World Cup," Odegaard wrote on social media.
However, he didn't stop there, adding to his criticism of the best female player in the world: "They have qualified on behalf of our country, one of the most important things a football player can experience, and they have already received enough negative pressure. This is not the time. The national team deserves better".
Hegerberg had said that she is "psychologically destroyed" looking at the salary gap between female and male players.
