Nine minutes that will be remembered forever

On Saturday, Bayern take on Wolfsburg in just another normal Bundesliga game. In the sides' previous meetings, however, there is one name that stands out from the rest: Robert Lewandowski.
Back in September 2015, the Polish international, managed by Pep Guardiola, single-handedly dismantled Wolfsburg in a matter of minutes. Bayern went into half-time 1-0 down, and the crowd at the Allianz could never have predicted what would happen next.
One... Two... Three... Four... Five. Lewandowski ran rampant, dealing blow after blow to the Wolfsburg defense. The most impressive statistic is not the amount of times he put the ball in the opposition net, but the time it took him to do so: just nine minutes.
Between the 51st and the 60th minute of the fixture, the striker was unstoppable. The last goal, and definitely the pick of the bunch, was a perfectly executed volley from the edge of the box that made Guardiola raise his hands to his head in sheer wonder. A now iconic image of Bundesliga history.
Wolfsburg, bobbing precariously around the relegation positions, will be dreading a reenactment of the Polish striker's masterclass.
