It was billed as the all-important Champions League game, with fourth-placed Newcastle going up against fifth-placed Tottenham. But you would never guess they were that close in the league on watching the first 20 minutes of the tie.
Once Murphy had opened the scoring after just 61 seconds, Joelinton was on-hand to join in the festivities just four minutes later. The Magpies fed the ball over the top, where the forward collected well, before taking it round Lloris and slotting home.
Next was that man Murphy once again, with perhaps the pick of the lot. The Magpie received it a long way out, before firing in an wonder-goal. Even he himself was shocked with how good it turned out, turning to the camera, mouth aghast.
And the crowd barely had time to get over the third before the fourth came along, courtesy of Alexander Isak. The forward was expertly played in, but still had a lot to do. He charged in on goal, seeing off his marker and slotted home into the bottom corner.
He wasn't done there, either, as he soon was there to add a fifth. It was a great move down the right, with Longstaff cutting it back into the path of Isak who was charging into the box. The Swede was then there to fed it through into the bottm left side, leaving Lloris furious.
This is the second fastest 5-0 lead in the Premier League ever after Man City's 18 minute feat against Watford. Absolute shambolic opening twenty from Spurs, let's see if they can turn it around.
