The 'Negreira affaire' is now in the hands of the justice system. The judge in charge of this case, which has turned Spanish football upside down, recently admitted that Real Madrid could appear as a private prosecutor in the case. However, the judge refused to allow the CSD to do the same.
Well, according to 'El Mundo', Barca also tried to join the prosecution in the case, something that did not sit well with the defence of Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira.
The lawyers of the former vice-president of the CTA have sent a letter to the court to record their opinion of the facts. In it, they accuse Barca of "cynicism" and "procedural fraud" by claiming that, in addition to being investigated, they claim victim status.
Negreira has not testified before the Public Prosecutor's Office because he suffers from the beginning of Alzheimer's disease, as his defence has alleged before the appropriate authorities. That would have been the response to the document in which Barcelona present themselves as a victim of an alleged crime of disloyal administration.
