Napoli stand firm despite Real Madrid's insistence on signing Fabian

Real Madrid are not losing sight of Fabian Ruiz. It has been more than a year since talk of signing the Spaniard began and as the transfer window draws nearer, there is once again speculation over Ruiz's future. But Napoli are not going to make it easy for Real Madrid.
'AS' spoke this Thursday about the offensive the La Liga giants have got planned although it is still not enough for Aurelio de Laurentiis. The Napoli chairman is wanting an astronomical sum of money.
Sources say Napoli are asking for around 100 million euros for Fabian, an amount which Real Madrid are even thinking of paying despite being big fans of the player.
What's more, 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', are reporting that the Italians have no intention of selling the footballer, at least not until the coronavirus crisis passes and the Euros take place. They are hoping the player's market value increases with a good showing at the European Championships.
But there is another issue: the ex-Betis man's new contract at Napoli. There is no problem in that his contract runs until 2023, but there is no buyout clause which Real Madrid could use a reference point. Real Madrid could also try and include players in any deal.
Napoli's intention is to make sure he commits his future to the club and prevent his name being mentioned anymore when it comes to transfer rumours.
