Multi-million pound price tag on Kane to scare off RM and others

Harry Kane has set alarm bells ringing at Tottenham. He left open the possibility of leaving the club for the first time. Real Madrid are lying in wait and there is uncertainty. However, the Spurs chairman is not going to let Real Madrid get him easily, far from it. According to 'Daily Mail', a club would have to pay 200 million pounds for him. 

Knowing that it is an astronomical sum, very few clubs will be able to sign him and now it looks impossible for everyone because of the effect COVID-19 will have on clubs' finances. It is a way of Spurs making clear that they are not willing to let their star man leave.

Harry Kane is the star player for Tottenham so Florentino Perez would have to get the cheque book out and pay big money for the English striker. Without doubt, this news in a big blow for teams trying to get him. 

The news, in any case, should not catch Real Madrid by surprise  since he realised how tough a negotiator Daniel Levy is when he negotiated the deals involving Luka Modric and Gareth Bale in the past.

In both cases, they both ended up joining Real Madrid and they are both still at the club as of today. Although they had to put up with Levy's tough negotiating, Kane could end up moving the same way.
