Mourinho on Salzburg clash: "It was a complete performance"

Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho said on Thursday that Roma controlled the game against Salzburg (2-0). The Roma manager spoke at a press conference after qualifying for the last 16 of the Europa League.

"Tonight we saw a beautiful Roma achieve an important result. It was a complete performance. We played as a team, with empathy and solidarity," he said on 'Sky Sports'.

"I liked everything about tonight. We beat a Champions League opponent. It was a quiet game for me. We controlled the game although it was difficult to play 90 minutes with that intensity.

"I also want to mention El Shaarawy who was sacrificed tonight and did not play as much as he’d hoped to play," he concluded.
