Mourinho banned for two games after confrontation with referee

Jose Mourinho will miss Roma's next two Serie A matches. That is the sanction imposed on him by the Sporting Judge following his sending-off in the match against Hellas Verona, in addition to a 20,000 euros fine.

The Portuguese coach was sent off late in the game for "serious insinuations to the referee" and for entering the pitch in a "threatening" manner, explained 'La Gazzetta dello Sport'.

In addition, once the match was over, Mourinho reproached the referee for his performance in the match in the tunnel, which has extended his ban to two matches.

Nuno Santos, goalkeeping coach, has also been suspended for a further two matches. Tiago Pinto, Roma's general manager, has been banned until 8th March.
