More problems for Barça: Christensen injured

The Barça squad is full of injured players and the number of injuries is increasing, especially at the back, where the defensive line heads the list of injured players.

The latest to join in was Andreas Christensen, who was unable to finish the game against Inter. The Dane suffered from a hard tackle on his left ankle and was replaced by Gerard Pique in the 58th minute.

Barcelona later posted a medical statement saying that he suffers a sprained external ligament in his left ankle. However, the defender will undergo further tests on Wednesday morning to determine the exact extent of the injury.

Christensen joins a long list of names that already includes Kounde, Bellerin, Araujo, Memphis and Frenkie de Jong. Once again, Xavi Hernandez will be forced to change his starting eleven, at least for the next La Liga game.
