Leo Messi's market worth is 148 million euros, while Cristiano Ronaldo's is 108 million. The study also calculated the value of two other Barcelona players, Neymar da Silva and Luis Suarez, and two Real Madrid men, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez.
Out of these four players, Luis Suarez is the most expensive, who is estimated to be worth 102 million euros. The Uruguayan was rated at 81 million last year, and has seen his value increase to just six million less than Ronaldo.
Neymar is next on the list with 97 million, while Bale has gone from 91 million last year to 95 in the current season. James, on the other hand, has seen his market value drop from last year's 80 million to 65 million.
They could all come together on the pitch at the Santiago Bernabeu tomorrow, with the six players' value adding up to 611 million euros.
The criteria used to value the footballers was based on six variables: average goals, assists and bookings per match, leadership capability, their age and the market impact generated by the players.
