Mbappe two goals away from becoming PSG's all-time top scorer

The Stade Velodrome in Marseille looks the ideal scenario for Kylian Mbappe to overtake Edinson Cavani's 200 goals for PSG. That's precisely where PSG will travel to this Sunday for another 'Classique'.
The player is aiming for that record at just 24 years of age, nine years younger than the Uruguayan striker was when he set the record exactly three years ago.
Cavani has been PSG's top scorer since 2017 when he surpassed the 156 goals scored by Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who in turn surpassed the tally set by Portugal's Pedro Pauleta with 109 in 2008.
However, the ease with which Mbappe can achieve the record is astonishing. The French striker is two goals away from Cavani with 56 games less than the Uruguayan and still has at least two years left on his contract with the French club, which could take the record to impressive figures.
Mbappe has already been PSG's top scorer in the Champions League since last October, when he scored his 31st goal in a group-stage match against Benfica, taking the record from Cavani. Since then, the French striker has scored three more goals in Europe's top competition, adding 134 in the French league, 27 in the Coupe de France, two in the Coupe de la Ligue and one more in the French Super Cup.
