Mbappe no longer backbone of PSG

PSG are going through a difficult moment in Ligue 1. They are third in the table and, after Thomas Tuchel's sacking, Mauricio Pochettino's side lost 3-2 at Lorient. 

The defeat, as well as rumours Leo Messi will move to the Parc des Princes, made people in France talk about the roles of the footballers. Mbappe and Neymar's comments on their own futures also led to this.

'L'Equipe' made a list of names of four players, one for each section of the pitch, who are the most important for the team:  Keylor Navas, Marquinhos, Marco Verratti and Neymar.

The main absence is that of Kylian Mbappe. The striker has scored 16 goals and got nine assists up to now, but in recent matches, he has looked off colour. 

The previously cited media outlet did not consider him to be one of the four most important players. However, nobody doubts that once Mbappe gets back to his best, he is a fundamental footballer for PSG. 

How about a move to Real Madrid? Despite the fact the footballer himself hinted that he would stay at the Parisian outfit, at the Bernabeu they are rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect Mbappe could lose importance in the dressing room. 

The Frenchman is still one of Madrid's main targets for upcoming seasons and so this could benefit them.
