Juan Mata returned to action two months after his last competitive game. It was on Thursday for Man Utd against Granada in the quarter-final second leg.
The Spanish footballer, who recently lost his mother, came on with 17 minutes remaining.
Mata, 32, has not been in the squad for the last two Man Utd matches, but he had not played a single minute since 21st February when he came on for the closing stages of the game against Newcastle United.
This season he has only played 13 matches, eight of them as a starter, Therefore, with the tie basically settled, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave the midfielder some minutes against Granada.
