Marcos Alonso will do his part: ask Chelsea to let him go to Barça

Marcos Alonso has been on the 'Cule' agenda for several months. Barcelona are aware that the squad needs a major change and reinforcing the left-back position is one of the priorities. Several names were mentioned -Gaya, Javi Galan...-, but the Chelsea player has been the one chosen by the technical secretariat for next season.

Fabrizio Romano has already said that negotiations between player and club were at an advanced stage. Everything pointed to a satisfactory outcome, as the player from Madrid wants to return to Spain and Barcelona would be a real opportunity to fulfil his request.

Now, the newspaper 'Marca' assured that there is practically an agreement between Barça and Marcos Alonso. Nothing signed, for the moment, but everything is agreed. The only problem will be Chelsea, as is the case with another of Barça's targets, Azpilicueta.

It will be up to the Catalans to negotiate with the English side and the money they ask for the winger will define the transfer. It is therefore important to stress that the aforementioned media outlet added that the former Fiorentina man will expressly ask the Blues to leave this summer and that he can play at the Camp Nou during the 22-23 season.
