TEAM NEWS
Manchester United
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United still have a fairly lengthy list of injuries. As a result, the likes of Matic, Herrera, Darmian, Valencia and Bailly are all likely to miss out. Luke Shaw and Ashley Young are suspended meaning Diogo Dalot and Marcos Rojo should take their places. Scott McTominay and Fred could feature if Matic and Herrera aren't deemed match fit. Lingard, Martial, Rashford and Lukaku are back in contention, while we could see the return of Alexis Sanchez.
West Ham
West Ham's injury problems include Jack Wilshere, Michail Antonio and Samir Nasri who are all ruled out, alongside longer term injuries to Andy Carroll, Winston Reid, Carlos Sanchez and Andriy Yarmolenko. So, Manuel Pellegrini has obstacles to overcome ahead of this match before it have even started. Javier Hernandez will be desperate to start against his former club.
MANAGERS' THOUGHTS
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
"It's been a period where we've played some good teams and had some good performances. Against Wolves and Arsenal, in the league, we should have won with the amount of chances we had."
"We need as many points as possible," says the boss. "I think if we do get 15 points, we'll be [in the] top three. But for now, it's about getting three points against West Ham."
Solskjaer on Ander Herrera:
”Unfortunately, [the injury] has come at a time where there are contract talks, but that’s ongoing, so I can’t really comment too much on how far they’ve come down the line and what he’s deciding."
Manuel Pellegrini
"Manchester United are having good results in this moment. If you're not inside a team it's difficult to know what is different, but they have a good team and are earning some good results.
"We must demand more. We must try to play every game with improvement and evolve. My target was to demand from everyone an ambitious mentality. We still have a mathematical chance for Europe and we must try for that."
West Ham boss on Felipe Anderson and Jack Wilshere:
"Felipe, from the beginning, has adapted very well. He works a lot and he makes a difference in the last third. He scores goals. I'm very happy and I know the fans are very happy with him."
"Jack Wilshere is almost ready. He played an U23s game last week and he will play another one. Hopefully next week he will be 100 per cent with us."
