TEAM NEWS
Manchester United
The home side should welcome Marcus Rashford back to the side, while Alexis Sanchez, Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, Eric Bailly and Antonio Valencia will all be absent. Scott McTominay impressed against Wolves while Romelu Lukaku will also hope to retain his starting spot after scoring twice in the clash against PSG. Paul Pogba was absent from the squad against PSG through suspension but should return to the squad to face Barcelona.
Barcelona
Valverde has said that this clash may have come too soon for Ousmane Dembele who is still suffering from a hamstring injury sustained in their previous Champions League clash against Lyon. Philippe Coutinho should start if the Frenchman is deemed unfit. Messi, of course, is the dangerman for Barcelona who is level with Lewandowski as the competition's top scorer this year. Gerard Pique returns for a clash against his former side who he left in 2008, and Ivan Rakitic should make his 100th UEFA club appearance.
MANAGERS' THOUGHTS
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
"Confidence is high. The result and what we did against PSG and how we have climbed the table, clawing back points.
"I think the players have given themselves and the supporters great belief. We lose games, we should have won. Wolves in the FA Cup we are disappointed with. I can feel the tension, the excitement.
"The Champions League throws up so many strange results. It’s not going to be decided until we play 90 minutes in the Nou Camp. So we just have to make sure we perform to our best and have a result to take over to Barcelona."
Ernesto Valverde
"United are a team with a lot more than just set pieces. They are very strong in this respect but they have also shown that they are capable of more as we saw in the round of 16 and over the last few weeks.
"They have reached the quarter-finals with the desire to win and progress. We also have to be careful with their counter-attack.
Valverde on Dembele:
"We will see how it unfolds. I am not going to risk it because I don't want him to get injured again, so we will see".
