Man Utd v West Ham - as it happened

FT: Man Utd 1-0 West Ham!!! All over at Old Trafford and United get a deserved win. Greenwood was denied by Fabianski and the woodwork in the first half and then United took the lead in the 53rd minute when Craig Dawson headed a Fernandes corner into his own net. Fernandes could have made it two and Greenwood hit the post again when W Ham sent more men forward. The Hammers tried to get an equaliser, but had very few shots on target.

Rice picks out Benrahma, the cross in hits Wan-Bissaka and goes for a corner, but the ref says it's full time!!! It was 10 or 15 seconds over time so that's fair.

Dawson goes down under a challenge in or near the area, but nothing is given! Atkinson says no and Dawson is definitely looking for that.

Benrahma is cynically brought down by James and the United man has his name taken.

Referee Atkinson says Fernandes is fouled in midfield and Lanzini doesn't like the call.

Rice's ball is poor and it goes out of play for a goal kick.

Soucek!!! Bowen's cross is headed wide by the Czech!!

Fernandes!!! The Portuguese goes for goal from 20 yards and Fabianski makes a very good save down to his right.

Soucek goes down wanting a penalty after Bowen passes to Soucek in the box, but nothing is given. Goal kick.

Antonio's shot is deflected by Lindelof and it's a corner.

Rashford looks to make it two and Dawson slides to block the strike.

HT: Man U 0-0 W Ham!!! Half-time at Old Trafford and after an even start, United have taken charge, but failed to score. Greenwood has looked sharp and had a shot turned onto the post by Fabianski while Rashford has also had two good opportunities. West Ham have done next to nothing going forward. Back shortly!

Bowen hits the ball in Coufal's face and it goes out for a goal kick!

Shots: 8-0, on target 2-0. The Hammers are just defending now, unlike in the first 10-15 minutes.

Rashford!!! Fernandes sends a looping pass for Rashford and his header is easy for Fabianski. He looked just off so the goal would've have counted had it gone in.

Greenwood is easily United's best player in this first half.

What a sensational save onto the post!!! Greenwood goes forward and shoots from inside the foot, but Fabianski gets a hand to it to turn it onto his right hand post!

Wan-Bissaka has his name taken for a clear foul on Antonio as he was dribbling down the touchline.

Rashford passes for Shaw and Dawson has to clear the danger.
