Man City to MISS Kovacic for a month

The bad news is piling up for Pep Guardiola. In addition to the season-long absence of Rodri Hernandez and four consecutive defeats, there is now another major injury.

This time it is Mateo Kovacic. The Croatian midfielder, who played in place of Rodri, will be out of action for three to four weeks due to physical problems.

"He will be out for a while," said the Manchester City boss, who gave the Croatian international precisely that month's time off.

This means Guardiola will have to find another piece that will allow him to build up the attack. Given the absences he has, perhaps the best solution is to populate the midfield even more.
