Man City's De Bruyne with 100 PL assists

Kevin de Bruyne has reached the symbolic milestone of 100 assists in the Premier Legaue thanks to his contributions in Manchester City's thumping 1-4 victory away to Southampton on the league's 30th matchday.

Therefore, the Belgian has entered a coveted club, as only Ryan Giggs (162), Cesc Fabregas (111), Wayne Rooney (103) and Frank Lampard (102) had previously reached the marker. He has only got 62 more to get until he becomes the top flight's player with most assists ever in hidtory.

After the final whistle, the midfielder made it clear he realises that he's lucky to be playing in such a talented Man City side.

"I'm a creative player and I try and help my teammates as much as possible. We've scored a lot of goals in the eight years I've been here. I've been blessed by the players who have been here. It's great, maybe when I leave, I look at it all again. You'll never see me score a goal like Haaland's second. I'd end up in hospital. He's happy here, he knows we make a lot of chances for him and he does the rest", the Belgian national side's captain said to the 'BBC'.
