Bernardo Silva has been coy about his undecided future with Manchester City. Despite playing a huge role for the treble-winners, the Portuguese international has been linked with an exit, having garnered attention from PSG and Saudi teams.
He has reportedly been offered a deal by the Saudi league that would see him rake in over €80 million-a-season at Al-Hilal, and although City aren't short of cash currently, even they can't match sums like that. The club however has shown they want to see him stay, as 'The Times' report that they've made him an improved offer.
With two years left on his contract, he would bring his club a hefty sale, but he is appreciated among the Cityzens, having started 24 of his 34 Premier League appearances, and scoring key goals for his team in the quarter-final and semi-final of the Champions League.
Manager Pep Guardiola will definitely been keen to hold onto the star, describing him as "irreplaceable" at the end of the season: "We cannot forget what Bernardo has done, scoring the goal and creating down the right side in the second half. What amazes me about Bernardo is that when the game is going wrong he makes a step forward, he loves to play in this situation. He's comfortable with it," he said.
"Some players maybe step backward and he makes a step forward. That's why he is irreplaceable in many ways for us", he added.
