Bernardo Silva "still doesn't know about future" at City

Manchester City's Bernardo Silva said on Thursday that he does not yet know his future destination and that he is "very focused" on the upcoming matches with the Portugal national team.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of Saturday's Euro 2024 qualifier against Bosnia in Lisbon, Silva was asked whether he will remain at City, or will leave for Europe, but said that nothing is set in stone at the moment.

There has been rumoured interest from Barcelona and PSG, with the latter even interested in a swap deal for the Portuguese midfielder with Marco Veratti. "I still don't know about my future, I'm going to be very honest. We will see in the near future," said the Portuguese, who recently won the Champions League with Pep Guardiola's side.

He also assured that he is "quite used" to this kind of transfer market turbulence and that he is "very focused" on the national team clashes. After the Champions League triumph, Silva said he dreams "very much of winning a World Cup or a European Championship" with Portugal, with whom he has already won a Nations League, and promises to "work to achieve it".

The 28-year-old, is one of the great assets of the Portuguese national team coached by Roberto Martinez and said that the first contact with the Spanish coach "went very well".

"The hardest thing was getting over the disappointment of the World Cup (Qatar 2022). In the first training session after that the dynamic didn't break and that shows the personality of the players," he stressed.

Next Saturday he will be reunited with his former City team-mate and Champions League final opponent Edin Dzeko against Bosnia-Herzegovina, a "very physical team" against whom "it won't be easy to get into their defensive system".  After the match against Bosnia-Herzegovina, Portugal will travel to Reykjavik to face Iceland next Tuesday.
