Real Madrid do not want to see their classy midfield trio of Modric, Kroos and Casemiro disband, though this season it looks as if strength in depth is needed.
According to 'El Desmarque', Real Madrid officials have showed an interest in Croatian international Marcelo Brozovic who, until a few months ago, was linked with moves away to several of Europe's biggest sides as negotiations stalled over a new contract with Inter Milan.
Eventually, after long-lasting talks, the Italian side managed the extend the contracts of six of their players at the same time. Among them was Brozovic, who pledged his future to Inter until 2022.
If Madrid decide to go on the offensive, it is thought 60 million euros would be enough to secure Brozovic's signature, provided the 26-year-old is open to a move away from the Serie A.
Brozovic is one of Luciano Spalletti's most important players, and has featured in all but one of Inter's league matches this season. The midfielder has scored twice in fifteen games across all competitions so far.
