Dani Ceballos' performances were on an upward trend last season. The centrmidfielder began the campaign with barely a look in, but little by little, he gained Ancelotti's confidence. So much so, that he was used in some of the most important parts of Madrid's season.
However, this has not been enough to change the mind of the Spaniard. Ceballos seems set on a change of scenery, playing for a team in which he is one of the most important players.
However, this is not going to be an easy operation for the player. This is because, 'Sport' reports that Real Madrid want to keep their player at the Bernabeu. Additionally, they are ready to offer him a two season contract extension, including a salary increase.
'Los Merengues' are certain that they will not let Ceballos go easily. With this being said, if they receive an offer for him which they consider to be unreasonable, he will be seeing out his current contract until the end of next season, after which he will leave the club as a free agent.
