Pedja Mijatovic, a former Real Madrid player, said on Wednesday that Real Madrid are on "a positive run and are favourites to win" the Champions League final on 28th May.
Mijatovic played for Real Madrid between 1996 and 1999 and, among the titles he won, was a Champions League title against Juventus that was settled by a goal from him.
"I'm glad Real Madrid are in the final after the comebacks, after several heart attacks we've had. That shows that they are prepared, they have a competitive team, and they are favourites, if you can say there is a favourite," said Mijatovic, who attended the gala presentation of the 'Marca Leyenda' award to Luka Modric.
"Real Madrid are on a positive run and have a good chance of winning. Liverpool are a serious team, you have to respect them, and Real Madrid don't have to think about previous comebacks. It won't be easy, but I'm confident they will play well and win the title," he concluded.
